Bertha

Bertha is the newest member of our goat family.. We picked her up thursday night at the sale barn. Cindy bought her sister and named her Violet. Yes that makes 9 goats total!!! oscar, pearl, nadine, myrtle, nelda, bet, shirley, bertha and violet. now thats a tongue twister..

The flags are flying

first came the 4 ft hole I dug by hand,,,then the concrete Kevin mixed up and 4 weeks later the concrete pad was ready for pole. I bought this pole from a farmer down the road. It is a 30 ft steel old light pole. I sanded and primed it. Mr VanMeter a farmer down the road came and him and Kevin set it this morning.

Everyone was eager to go down the water slide on the dock....but only a few of us braved the high dive...even Wylie!

Fishing Trip

The results of our weekend trip to the lake of the ozarks are in......Cody caught alot of bait fish..and Kevin broke the scales with this 17 pounder....ohh and mine was 5 big pounds

Guinea's

The guinea's are getting along great with the peacock..We picked up the 3 larger ones several weeks ago and the smaller guys arrived last week via mail....they sure grow fast!!

Carrie and Kevin brought over this peacock last week...They have about 25 peacocks and this little guys mother was killed by a coyote or owl.....Kevin found him hiding in the bushes

Hay time

Eissler cut our hay on Sunday...he took the large round bales and cut our share into small square bales....The goats will be able to eat all Winter long!!

Shirley got her first bath last weekend in the master bath.....well someone should use it.

Logan

Lonnie, Denise, and Logan were here over the holiday for a visit from Florida... Logan enjoyed seeing all the animals and playing with the goats. With a little persuasion from her father she was ready to trade her dogs for 2 goats.

Cindy's out of town so I had to step up and make my first kill with the garden hoe...it was just outside the front door or I would of used my shot gun
